I have replaced the substrate in my tank from cheap gravel to silica sand, and would like to ensure my plants are getting the nutrients they need. What's the best fertilizer for a 36 gallon freshwater?

I purchased a bottle of Tetra FloraPride (0-0-3), however would like to make sure this is all they would need aside from proper lighting. My plants are the standard stuff you can get from Petco/Petsmart. Cabombas, Wisteria, etc.

I'd just go with some comprehensive root tabs. I actually make them myself, but there are several different brands and types to choose from.

One other option is to use osmocote granules, you can stuff them into pill casings or freeze them in ice cube trays to make it easier to put them into the substrate.
