Filter stopped

This morning I woke up and my filter had stopped running so when I went to inspect it I lifted up the intake tube and all of a sudden it started up again. Any one know the reason it stopped working? It's a filter that came with the tank, top fin 75

Sounds like it could be a problem with the motor. Try removing the motor and cleaning it. Sometimes removing the flow of water and then putting it back like you did can cause it to start up again.

I have an aquaclear running as well so I wasn't too worried about it but if it happens again ill look into the filter
