Fire fish eating?

I just got a firefish two days ago and I'm wondering what he is eating. I read that they eat xooplankton. Is there some in my tank or is that something I have to add. I see him darting at things in the tank is he eating? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Mine eats the flake and frozen stuff that the others get, nothing special.

firefish eat pods. that may be what you are noticing.

what exactly is a pod? Is it a little insect looking thing?

Yep, look just like little bugs.

I have had my fire fish since february. He seems to do just fine with flake foods. Every now and then i'll throw in some brine for everyone.

Mine never comes out at feeding time so I never really see what he eats. The other night I was looking at my tank in the dark with a flashlight and I saw lots of those little critters all over my rocks. I hope that's a good thing!

yes it is..those little white looking bugs will get on your glass and rocks they are a type of pod and are good for the tank..
