Fish damaged in filter intake.

I found my platy today pushed right up against the filter (aquaclear) and he was really stuck. I had to turn off the filter to dislodge him. He was perfectly healthy yesterday morning. He now has a very large dent in his abdomen right behind his fin, and he's having a lot of trouble swimming. I have no idea how to help him. I feel like putting him into a qt would just stress him out, but I have corys in the tank so I dont like adding anything to it. Any suggestions welcome.

He was probably injured another way and just got sucked into the filter because he was weak.

Ya that's probably different than what I thought then. I'm not sure, just keep it as stress free for him as you can, and if there isn't any brackish salt in the water, consider adding a bit.
