Fish Feeding?

no you don't have to shut it off. I usually feed on the opisite side from my intake tube though so any food wouldn't immediately get sucked up. Im not a fan at all of turning my filters on and off and a lot of canister filters unless they are the new type are difficult to prime so you sure wouldn't want to re do that process every time you want to feed your fish.
 
for me it's just personal opinion and whether the food costs much. when feeding flakes, i really don't care much. but when i feed them live food or frozen worms, i turn off the filter for 10 min or at least when the food is totally consumed because these food are more expensive than the flakes. :brows: just being smart about my money
 
Thanks guys I'll just let them both on then was just concerned move food around to much harder for fish to eat I guess they'll figure it out
