I am doing a fish-less cycle on my 33g. I'm on my 2nd week. Nitrite test is darker than 5.0ppm and nitrate is 160ppm. Ammonia was 0.0ppm so I added ammonia. What should I do next? Do i need to do a PWC to lower the nitrite and nitrate level? Thanks in advance!

Have u had a spike in ammonia at all? You should have at some point but your nitrites should come down and convert too nitrates if your still in your cycle. If that happens then yes do a pwc at least that's what I think imo

I am doing a fish-less cycle. I am the one adding the ammonia.

As long as the nitrite does not get too high, a PWC is not needed. I really wouldnt test the nitrate until theres no ammonia or nitrite showing, they can effect the result of the nitrate test.
