I'm curious how this will do as a floating plant, and if it will 'mat' on the surface or at least branch out somewhat, there is plenty of information about how it will spread when planted but I haven't seen much on leaving it floating (other than that left floating it has done well).
I'm hoping it'll form something of a mat on the surface (and assuming that being so close to the light it'll grow fast) and once it's gotten some mass just pin it to the bottom of the tank with a few pebbles and let it do it's thing... if trimming becomes necessary let the trimmings float until they become something of a mass and repeat.
