Fluval 203

Hi I just got a fluval 203 used last night and it is missing "the adjustable rim connector" part that starts the syphon
Does anyone know an alternate means of starting this canister filter?

You can just order the extra parts by calling customer service and giving them the part number from the instruction booklet.

Not sure if it will work,but i broke my plunger on a 305 and turned it upside down over a buckett and it started

All the rim connectors are for is mounting the hoses, right?
