fluval 306

Hi all,Im considering upgrading my fluval u4 internal filter to a 306 canister for my 40 gal com.Ive never had a canister before so i was after some advice/recommendations before i buy.cheers

I was using that same Fluval internal filter in a 46 Bow front and found it didn't work that well. It seemed to have very little flow. I'm now using an FX4. I'm sure the 306 would work well for you. But I believe in over filtering so I'd go with the 406.

Thanks for your reply. I was thinking of getting the 406 but I'm concerned it would create to much flow

The Fluval 206 is rated for 45g, even if you want to over filter the 306 would be plenty. I just got a 206 plus C4 HOB for my 40g tank, there are great deals on the 206's on eBay.
