Fragging a sponge

Ok I have an orange tree sponge. It's been doing awesome and I wanted to frag it. I got it split easily however while I was attaching it to a rock I was punching it through a tooth pick attached to that rock some of the color came out I guess I squeezed it is it going to be ok?

Time will tell. As far as I know fragging sponges is not recommended as it is rarely successful. The are fairly delicate.
