This furry little gut came in with some live rock is he bad for the tank?

My experience is that crabs in a reef are bad news. I'd try to catch him. Do you have a sump he can live in?

no. not yet but we are going to start a new tank soon it will have a sump? why are they bad?

Crabs are opportunistic. They can be fine in a reef for years and them out of the blew...BAM, coral munchers. The one you have pictured reminds me of a sponge crab.

he is very creepy and furry? but I had a clownfish come up missing do they eat fish?

Crabs can't catch fish.
