Not sure about how sensitive cockatoo apistos are but they seem to have nice coloration. I remember how someone was having trouble keeping their apistos with cories but that's it.

Well here I go again, I have only had rams for about 2 months now. I'm definitely no expert, but I do monitor my water and do min. 30% pwc weekly and am lucky for the most part. I bought 3, one died as a result of the other 2 chasing it relentlessly, but since then its been smooth sailing. Mh pH is around 6.6 - 6.7 and I have soft water. I keep it 81f with black neons, flame tetras, a gourami and angelfin catfish. They are truly beautiful and fun to watch! I was nervous too, but decided to chance it - I would give it a shot to be brutually honest it's not like they cost THAT much. Anyway, good luck w/whatever you choose and take this for what it's worth as I said I'm NO expert - i just like to do what I want

WOW! I got mine at the Mom and Pop lfs for $9, but the petsmart recently got them in for $6, but they didn't look real healthy. Guess i shouldn't assume, never works out for me! lol.
