Getting live rock today!

So today I'm getting 100 pounds of live rock and I was wondering if anyone does anything special to their live rock before they put it in their tanks.

If it's completely cure I just rinse it off in saltwater, scrub off any hair algea, ect. And put it in my tank.

if its cured why would you need to rinse it just put it in the tank

The live rock I picked out was mostly on the bottom of the LFS aquarium and had some sand, ect on it. Didn't want the extra "stuff" floating around in my aquarium.
