I'm having trouble with my atomic regulator by GLA. For the first few months it worked fine but now I have no control of the needle valve at all. It ether fully open or fully shut. I contacted GLA about it and was told its most likely my diffuser that's the problem. I was told to clean it with acid I would have to perches from them. My question is do u think the problem I'm having with my regulator is coming from my diffuser? Also just to be a little more specific about my tank. I have a 90 gallon fresh water plant tank. I'm using the PPS pro method witch requires me to have my C02 running 24 hours a day. I have and atomic regulator and an atomic inline diffuser. I'm using the 406 fluval external filter. So what do I think should I just buy this acid and clean my diffuser or get a new regulator

PPS- Pro does not require running your co2 24/7. It's only becomes detrimental to your fish since plants don't use co2 at night. I suspect it is the needle valve. I'm not sure why the diffuser would have anything to do with it, but others will have to give some input.

No. CO2 is available in the water full-time in nature, no reason to change that here. Since we are dosing at a lower level (15ppm) we have plenty of safety margin. And stable levels help plants and fish, making it harder on algae.

Yes. Plants do not use CO2 at night....plus it conserves co2.

Beginners should NOT turn off their co2 and maintain consistent co2 levels 24/7. That's from an article I read about PPS pro.

I was under the impression that at night, when plants stop using co2, the co2 can build up to levels that harmful. Obviously over the course of the night.

Yes normally that is true but since I'm using such low amounts of c02 less then 15bpm it doesn't become a problem at all. My plants supply plenty of 02 at night for the amount of fish I have also do to the low levels of C02 at night it has a chance to build to a sufficient level for my plants

I stand corrected! Learned something new. Anyway though, I'm not sure why GLA would tell you that the diffuser was the problem.
