Glass Lid. Yay or nay?

Use a dry wall toggle bolt. The kind that unhinge after insertion into the dry wall ceiling. That isn't as good as hitting a stud, but will support the weight of a light without problems.

I used butterfly screws. They open up in the ceiling and there is no way the light can fall without taking part of the ceiling with it.
