Gold Barbs

So I'm looking into some new fish and I've had gold barbs in the past. However I always like to put my stock into AqAdvisor as a rough guideline and for some reason one gold barb adds about 6-8% to the stocking level. Are gold barbs poop machines because I know they don't get very big at all. Can someone give me some information on these little guys?

Actually gold barbs do get a little larger, about 3 inches. They are beautiful and peaceful.

I have a school of 6 gold barbs in my tank and they are great. Always near the front, very active and playful. Best part is they all are different looking. Each one has its own personality and distinguishable characteristics.
