Hey guys, sorry about the question... I know it's probably basic knowledge... which a lack... but I could use a little help.

I just got a 10 Gallon Tank. It is running with water right now... no fish.
When I do put fish in... I think that I want to return to Goldfish... I tried Guppies... Bettas and Angels... But Goldies are my favourite.

I have a 20 gallon to move them into after they grow, so how many should I start with?
Also, does anyone have a good Goldie webby?

Thanks,
B.

Look on Aqua Rank (after voting for AA ), the link is in my sig. See what websites are devoted to goldies.

My favorite sites are:

http://www.goldfishparadise.com - for discussion groups with lots of goldies specific info.

http://puregold.aquaria.net/pg/home.html & koivet.com - for diseases.

Oh & I would not suggest keeping anything other than fancies in a 20 gal. Comets, etc. need lots of room to swim, best in a pond. 2 fancies seem to be the general concensus for maxing out a 20 gal. 3 if you have monster filtration & lots of monitoring & water changes.

Lol. I have a six inch fantail and a six inch black moor in a five gallon. It breaks the rules. I always have to add pH up every couple days. The filtration is perfect though. They can move around but I really need to get a small pond and put these guys outside.

Don't keep small snails with goldfish. They will be eaten. Unless your goldfish is weird or something. In the wild goldfish feed on snails. Always check the ammonia levels and the pH. Don't let the pH fall or the goldfish will get acidosis, but it's easy to tell when they have it with their skin peeling off :? and it's easy to fix, add pH up and have frequent 50% water changes.
