How is your flow on it? I had to move mine a few times before it was truly happy. Didn't like even medium flow.

Mine stays closed up like that if there is too much flow. Do you have it in a high flow area?

When mine went bad it started melting...the thing seemed to just dissolve. Had to take it out before it fouled tank.

Ime it prefers a low flow area and not too intense lighting when first introduced until its fully acclimated. Parts of it may die off but there's a chance of salvaging parts of it that will re-colonize the skeleton. Try moving it around to see if you can find a spot that it likes. As of now,it doesn't look too bad yet so chances are it can still bounce back. Good luck! Hope it regains it health.
