Good gourami

My gold gourami that I’ve had for about 5 years has a bump on the underside of its gills, it looks like it’s just on one side, it doesn’t seem like it’s bothering him or that he has any stress but it doesn’t look good. I tried to take pictures

I honestly can't see very much. If he's active, respirating, and eating fine, then there's probably not a problem.

I couldn't determine much either. Research "lymphocystis " it's a fish virus, much like a cold sore. It's usually not fatal, and might eventually go away.
