Gorgonian mini me???

I bought a gorgonian a couple days ago. I noticed this twig-like thing with itty bitty polyps on it wrapped around one of the branches. Anyone know what that could be??

Can you get a closer up picture? Is it hard or soft? Is it growing at all?

It's growing. It felt stiff when I touched it. I didn't want to play with it too much until I found out what it is. Wait a minute...that doesn't sound right at all! lol!
I'll try to get a closer pic of it. The only thing I could find that resembled it is a digitate hydroid. But I'm not sure if that's what it is. The picture was only similar, not exact.
