Gourami troubles

I've noticed that the scales on my powder blue dwarf gourami are turning a grayish or silver color.... Any ideas as to what it might be?

It is a topical slime coat problem. Depening on set up, you can maybe treat it in the tank. I would use a topical fungus med or give them a nice salt bath with a 1/2 dose formalin
