Gravel in the garbage disposal

While we're talking about gravel, Cal Aqua Labs is going to offer a couple of interesting new substrates for planted tanks. Black Earth 9 in regular and fine grain and Green base XR which is a reddish brown. I set my 29g up one year ago with Floramax in a brick red color and soon wished I had went with black due to my choice of going with more red plants. Now I'm debating whether it's worth the trouble of changing. As you can see by my avatar, it's heavily planted. That's out of my skill set ATM. My next config is going to be pool filter sand from Ace hardware. I'm all standard gravel right now, and I'm learning about other substrates.
