I have a green 'thing' on the rock with long legs and no body appeared out of the blue. It could be from the new rock that I bought recently. Anyone has any idea what it could be?

Wha!

Is it attached at the base... like this?

Then it's an anemone of some kind possible an aiptasia.

Does it crawl around?

It is not attached and crawls around. I don't think it is an anemone. It is almost like a green 'matchstick' spider with no body. Strange.

Recently saw this on another site. Without a better pic it's worth a shot to look. Interesting non-the-less >>Sea Spiders<<

Cheers

Nice work steve-s.

Looks like a match, with the exception of color. If these things are anything like terrestrial arachnids, they can came in every color imaginable.

I have at least one of these that came in with LR.com rock. Mine is/are white and very small. Crawls around...you would swear it was a small spider if it wasn't underwater.

So far, unable to photograph him. He moves around so slowly that his movement doesn't catch your eye easily and so they are very hard to find.
