So Im currently looking for tank mates that I can put in with my puffer fish, hes never had a problem with other fish wont chase them or bother them at all hes been with goldfish tetras and ghost shrimp before. I don't want anything too big but eventually he will get 6in maybe. needs to be able to move from freshwater to brackish water or already be in brackish water any ideas?

Mollies are always a good choice. Plus the puffers could snack on the fry.

What about Guppies? I am thinking of getting a puffer due to a Miniature Ramshorn Snail problem and will need to find a way to keep him afterwards --yet I have not read before that they could be kept with something else. Thanks for any advice!

It's always touch and go, putting anything in with puffers. Most puffers are brackish and mollies will tolerate those conditions. I keep pea puffers (completely fresh water) currently and I do not keep anything else in the tank. They are great snail eaters.
