Green worm

Are first I thought it was just a piece of plant fiber in my live sand. I just noticed it at the other end today, when I pulled it out it was intwined in a little piece of fish that didn't get eaten. I can't make out any segments, head or tail, and I never see it move. What is it and should I kill it?

To me it looks like a piece of cheato stuck on something dead.
