Can i grow plants using a coralife t5 marine fixture?

It has a 10,000 and an Actinic

Thanks in advance

The 10,000 will work the other won't help plants much. Better off changing it.
LFS carry 6700k replacment bulbs. 5000-10000k work along with 650 nm.

What about full spectrum 50/50 bulbs?

Is it normal or high output? Also what size is your tank?

Its a regular not HO. Niether bulb is HO. Its a 48"

That should give you a good medium light. If it ends up being to much, floaters or simply just raising the light a few inches will help.

Floaters as in floating plants?

Normal output T5 fixtures shouldn't put out excess lighting. It is more likely you could be limited to what you could grow.

It will depend on the geometry of your tank, with shallower tanks (ie 12L, 30B) having higher intensity than deeper tanks (55g).

This setup seems to be working great. Its a little greener than i thought it would look but it still looks great
