I was wondering if anyone has tried to grow rice in the aquarium. It seeems possible, the fish we all love so much like danios barbs etc come from rice paty type biopes. I think it would be a good idea if I could do this in my newly emptied 25 gallon tank. I think they will not be much different then raising normal aquarium plants. Please leave you input I am looking at doing something different and I think this could be it.

It would be different....I have never seen it done, and would not know just what to suggest. Have at it and post some photos and info on how you did it.

Well some research has yeilded some interesting results. Thus far the only problem I think I am going to have is how to locate som unhulled rice. The normal rice we eat every day is hulled to look better. Wil rice may be an option. I will post pictures on how it is done after success has been reached.
