gudgeon ID please

At the LFS i work at, an order of Pacific Blue Eyes arrived, but; in the bag of Blue eyes, there was a number of gudgeons. Some were Purple spot gudgeons, the rest were something ive never seen before. Most died very quickly, but i managed to get four of them for free. They now live happily with my juvenile cylindricus. Any idea what species they may be?

they look like a riverine type fish? Loach...Schistura

definitely not them.... these guys have scales and a foward facing mouth like other gudgeons. it has the same pattern though.
