I have guppie whose tails darken and seem to come together making it hard for them to swim. The tail that was once flared out now looks like body. Any ideas?

Are the fins also being held against the body?
It sounds like ammonia poisoning- can you post more info- AFTER you do an immediate 50% water change.
How long has your tank been running
How big is your tank
What is in it
Do you have a test kit
How often do you change the water and how much
What do you add to the new water
Hopefully a good water change will help, but it will take a few more before they feel better and they may not all make it.
