Hey guys I was just wondering if you knew any good hardy starting fish for my new 50 Litre tank I have been told Rasbora harlequins are good but not sure. Other additions would be great too as I am very new.

Yeah was thinking bristle noses but not sure about the sword tails arnt they agressive

No offense but your tank is kinda small for almost everything on that list, you could do dwarf gouramis, but I wouldn't put any of the other fish on that list in a tank that size.

50 Liters is only 13g
No BN Pleco !!! Much too small of a tank.

Harlequin Rasboras are one of my favorite fishes. Mine were very hardy and colorful and tried spawning after almost every water change ;)

Read up on Fish In vs Fishless Cycling.

No Pleco will fit on your tank without polluting it. Plecos are poop machines, so a very bad choice for a smaller tank.

What other algae eaters could I use then

You don't need Algae eaters. My tanks don't have Algae issues.
You can add a snail or once tank is well established and stable and has biofilm you can add Otocinclus depending on tankmates

Otos aren't considered hardy , but once they are established they can do well.
