Hello - new and returning

Hello - I use to have a few tanks years and years ago, but have been without and now am returning slowly to the hobby. I have a Betta in a three gallon tank, and am looking at obtaining another tank - maybe 20 or 30 gallons, but I haven't decided yet because I don't know what I'll be keeping. I am quite interested in catfish - particularly the Striped Raphael Catfish. Can anyone give me info on these? I understand that they prefer a sandy bottom, good flow rate and temperatures in the 75 - 80F range?

I live in Northern Ontario in a rural area so most purchasing is done on-line. Info on equipment (heaters, tanks etc.) as well as Raphael would be really appreciated.
