HELP! Getting rid of brown algae?

That depends on what it is. Can you tell us the current parameters of the tank and some more about the issue?
If it is a dusting in the sandbed, it is most likely diatoms. Diatoms feed off of silicates in the sand and rock. This is a common 'life stage' of a tank and they will burn out and vanish over time.
 
Hairy brown algae present on sand bed and live rock but only a portion, not all over.

A picture is worth a thousand words ;). And your current params too, numbers please, not "everything's good or where it's supposed to be". Also some info on your system/maintenance routine, age, size, stocking, ro/di, wc schedule, etc?
