Help please!!!

Dhould I get a UV sterilizer, the ich looks like it went away on my yellow tang, but my neon goby has little white raised cotton balls on him. My two black clowns are in a QT beacause I saw spots on them. I might need a UV, also how long should I QT the clowns before putting them back?

I think you have to leave the tank"dead"(inverts are ok) for like 6 months to ensure the parasites are gone. Not sure if the sterilizer will speed that up

Actually all the fish need to come out to the qt. The main tank can then be left fishless for 6 weeks allowing the parasite to die off with the lack of fish hosts.
