Help with Media please

Hi guys. I'm new to this site so sorry if I've posted this thread in the wrong area. I'm currently using a fluval 206 canister filter and I must say I find it great, tank is 100 litres. However I'd like to lower the PH level and have read that using peat as media would help achieve this. only thing is, I'm unsure where to put it. Should I use it along with the biomax and carbon or stop using one of the above?

There are three baskets in the 206. The bottom has a large sponge, middle has biomas and the top has a polishing pad with carbon in it. Any advice would be great

IMO carbon is not needed in this case also how high is your ph most fish can handle a wide range it is more important to have a stable ph IMO
