Hello, I am very new to this forum but Google hasn't helped me much.
I'm not 100% new to fishkeeping, nor 100% experienced. We have had these Molly's for a while now and honestly since we got them they have been super healthy and easy. They eat well, they are very active and seen healthy minus one thing.
My smallest Molly (black) I call kylo has some missing fin on his tail & back fin. Let me just say I am very paranoid. So I jump the gun alot, but how can I tell if he had fun rot or if he just got injured? I'm figuring out how to post a picture so expect an update soon.
Even with the fin damage he is still extremely active. Eating great. Personality has changed none, I read fin rot makes them lethargic?

Sorry the picture isn't best,he is EXTREMELY active.

agreed looks like a little bit of fighting happened that is all!

Ohhhh yay! I know it sounds bad to be happy about an injured fish, but I didn't want to have to deal with fin rot! I am the most paranoid person ever so I overreact over anything like this!!

Any chance you guys can see him well enough to determine if it's a male or female? I have been looking at his back most fin & comparing to pictures online he looks male to me.

if you like mollies, you shoul keep them in a minimum of 20 gallon tank, 30 or 40 is better. Plent of plants, and plenty of AQ salt. Fee them a veggie diet in addition to adult brine shrimp. Keep many more females than males. Keep it warm 78-82F. Be patient for fry, they tend to hold onto fry for a long time.
They are prone to camallanus worms, so a dewormer in a food form is a good prophlatic treatment if your buying them from a fish store. Never buy a fish with a sunken flat belly or bloated one.
