Help with nitrite

I just realized the reason my cichlid wasn't eating. My nitrites were a bit high.
Around 1ppm-2ppm.
How can i highly drop the nitrites(Maybe Fully)
50% Water change? Any more tips?

Do two 50% changes. You might wait an hour or so between so it's not too stressful.

Is there an easy way to take out 50% of the water? It gets really hard with a tank this big :/

They look like gravel siphons. Can i use that instead to take my water?

They hook to the sink, siphon water out, the fill from the tap.
