hermit crab

my hermit crab is half out of his shell and barely moving is this a common thing to happen? its hardly moved much in the past week, i don't have any sea weed in the water and i don't know what kind of algae it would eat< so i hope its not starving to death

Try putting a bigger shell by him might be time to change shells.

there is a snail shell a few inches beside it and there has been one there for a few days but i'll try moving the shell closer. its not is moving like those little wisker things that move a million times a second, and its antennas are moving
