Hi all,

I'm looking for some advice on hermits. I already have 10 blue legs and 5 red legs in my 100 gallon tank and have been looking to add a few more of a different sort. I found somewhere that sells both Orange Claw reef hermits (Calcinus tibicen) and also dwarf Red tipped hermit aka red tipped mexican hermit.

Though I can find info on the latter I cannot find anything about the Orange claw reef hermit. All i know is that they have one claw bigger than the other and are larger than the blue legs.

Does anyone know how big they get or whether they are friendly? They are sold as reef safe but I am alway dubious about that phrase.

Any info on either species (good or bad) would be a great help.

Thanks and happy new year to all at AA
Liz :D
