Hi All

I'm new to keeping fish and was looking for some advise?

I currently have an askoll pure 68ltr tank with built in heater and filter media, which is cleaned and changed regularly.

I currently have 3 minnows 12 neons tetras 6 platies and 6 guppies, the question is......is this tank over stocked cos they keep breading and I'm having to move the fry out to a smaller breading tank

Please help

Thanks in advance
Clare

That is roughly 18 gallons us. So yes you are overstocked.

Hi

so what do you recommend?

My pet store where I purcheased the fish and tank from said that the tank could easily cope with the quantity of fish due to the advanced filter system

Thanks
Clare

More filteration doesn't always equal more fish. I would recommend getting rid of some fish or get a larger tank. Try using Aqadvisor.com to calculate what would work

I've only kept fish since September this year and they are already breading like mad

I have White Cloud Mountain minnows

Thanks
