Is it possible for the current in a tank to be too high for the fish? I know for fish like bettas they dont like current but at the moment I'm cycling with a zebra Danio. I know they like strong currents anyway and playing near the pump flow but he seems to hide a lot. Mostly where the current is slowest. He seems to give a little flick of his tail and fall back a bit and then do it again. I have an internal fan filter mini. (Aquael).
I bought a waterlife liquid ammonia test and its showing very very low ammonia reading. About 0.2 or lower. This is about the 5th day he's been in there. I took out a decaying plant about day 2. I've been doing 20% water changes daily since day 2.
