Hi,

Found this crab crawling out from beneath the zoa colony after lights out.

He's since moved under my LR, and has made many burrows!

But I caught him one night when he went digging against the glass - and then to my surprise he climbed the back glass to the top corner of my RSM 130 and sat on the two power heads. I have never seen any crabs that can do that (hermits/emerald) - only my two shrimp (skunk/peppermint).

Any ideas as to what type it is ?

I had a stone crab once. It killed about $200 in coral frags, and made a house from their bones. His crowning glory was the destruction of a 12 in bubble coral. Died shortly there after, probably from the excitement

Actually, I have lost all my ricordea (5 plugs) and all the zoas over 2 months - maybe this guy had something to do with it

About $80 lost
:(
