What is this on my snails shell? it has small little tentacles on it. Maybe its a sponge...?

looks like a coral of some kind but don't qoute me on that I FOWLR at the moment

I was thinking the same thing, actually. There are some very tiny zooanthid relatives, often called micro polyps. Maybe one of those?
