I've learned alot from sifting through the threads on here and finally decided that I should just join in!
I suppose I am long-time fish keeper but not very well informed in the least! Starting off the the fun-fair goldfish and then moving on to a tending to my sister's 20 gallon community tropical tank that housed anything that caught our eye. Eventually I got my Dad to put a small pond in the side yard, and now it is full of accidental goldfish/koi hybrids and a few comets. I also keep a small 5 gallon tank for my Betta (wish to give him more space some day...)
Now I've got my heart set on a decent 40 gallon tank, and I have hopes to make it a fully planted, aquascaped, tank at that (once I figure out this lighting buisness that is)! But I've never done live plants or such large tanks before and you will surely see me tossing around a few questions along the way! :>
