HOB and canister filter intake and outtake placement

Hey all,

I just recently upgraded to a 54 gallon corner aquarium. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on the best placement for the HOB filter (Aquaclear 30) and the intake and output hoses on the canister filter (Fluval 306) on the tank. Thank you!

I have a 55 gallon with a canister

The canister filter I have the intake in the left corner just above the gravel and the output in the opposite corner.

Can you post a picture of the tank? I imagine I'd just put them on opposite sides near the corners if it's a corner tank

I have the intake and output on opposite sides now. I'm now trying to figure out the best placement for the HOB filter. Any suggestions?

I'm currently at work and not able to post a picture of the tank. The tank is a shape of a triangle but with a curved front.

I was thinking have the HOB in the middle of one side, and have the intake and output of the can in opposite corners of the other side. If that makes sense.
