I was wondering if anyone knows if plexiglass or regular glass was uv resistant, I am looking to make a lid for my 29 gallon out of something cheep, I broke my versa top
plexi glass would work but over time it would start to etch from the salt eating at it turning it yellowish/gray not allowing full light or good gas exchange and also hold in excess heat solid tops don't breath very well IMO
you could always do a egg crate top ,
not only looks good but also helps with good gas exchange and lets light in and keeps fish in and lets out excess heat and the best part is it costs under $20 to do
