I have an aquareon hood on both of my tanks. Now there is a bunch of algae crusted on the plastic film that protects the light. And it makes my tank look green. How can I get this crust off? I tried scrubbing it but it doesn't work.
Try letting vinegar sit on it for a bit then use a magic eraser, the plain ones without any soap added, to scrub it off . Most things used on glass will scratch the plastic...IE: steel wool, razor blade, etc. Could try a plastic scrubbie thing .
