How can i prevent my lighting unit from water splashing??

I am new to this forum...
i have a 28 gallon aquarium and i have an idea to plant some low tech plants...
So i bought a single t8 20w daylight tube. Nw i am having a big problem how to prevent it from water splashing Cos
i have built on aquarium hood....

I googled but i think it's not possible for me to diy or purchase an aquarium hood for mine..
