how fast do mollies grow?

my friend gave me some of his sailfin molly fry. theyre about 1/4" to 1/2" an inch. how fast will they grow out of a 5.5 gallon tank?

Depends on how much/often you feed and how often you change the water. That is true of any fry.

How many do you have? As Bill mentioned the water changes and the feedings will dictate how quickly they will grow, but generally mollies grow fairly quickly.
