How Long For Media To Seed?

I am setting up a 60g rather soon so I had my father put a filter cartridge in my grandmothers tank(we don't live together and she has cichlids). This was about two weeks ago. I was gonna give it another 2 weeks or so. Is that enough time? First fish would be 3 pictus catfish, haven't decided how many I will introduce at the same time.

I would give the filter at least another week. 2 weeks it it would almost definitely be fully cycled.

In the past I've let filters run a month before moving them to a new tank. Hasn't failed me yet.
