am I crazy or are people having 2 different conversations. Peacocks are not mbuna. The recommendation seems geared towards people who have the more aggressive mbuna. Peacocks are relatively peaceful and will not benefit from being overstocks...they will just be overstocked.

I believe the original question was something like "how many africans can go into a 50 gallon?" I think folks were just trying to best answer the question. BTW not all Peacocks are peaceful (I am told).

vast majority are. People keep referencing mbuna when suggesting 20...then people respond that they are glad they can have 20 peacocks.
